Psychotherapist and life-coach Marisa Peer shows you how to date with confidence!

Marisa Peer has worked as a psychotherapist, hypnotherapist, life coach and behavioural expert for over twenty-five years.  You might recognize her as the therapist on Supersize vs Superskinny and Celebrity Fit Club UK, or from her appearances on This Morning, Newsnight, Sky News and GMTV.

Her latest book Ultimate Confidence: The Secrets to Feeling Great About Yourself Every Day is out now, so we decided to catch up with her to find out what her ultimate dating confidence tricks are – and here’s what she had to say.

Dealing With First Date Nerves

“Men find confident women very attractive, so keep that in mind when you are meeting someone for the first time,” Marisa says.  “Don’t go to a date thinking; ‘Will they like me?’  Instead reverse your thought patterns and think; ‘Will I like them?  Will they be good enough for me? Will I find them attractive?’  If you go on a date thinking I’m not good enough, you’ll come across that way.  Remember, what is expected by you tends to be realized, so change your expectations!” (more…)
