Weekend Recipe: Sweet & Sour Prawn Curry

Forget the take away; you can russle this prawn curry up for you and your date in just over half an hour!

Sweet and sour prawn curry

Sweet & Sour Prawn Curry or Jhinga Bhujana

Preparation time – 15 minutes
Cooking time – 20 minutes

Ingredients to serves 2

2 tablespoons sunflower oil
3 medium onions, chopped finely
1 teaspoon garlic paste
1/2  teaspoon chilli powder
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
225g raw king prawns
Salt
1 teaspoon tamarind paste, dissolved in 2 tablespoons water.  Remove pips before using. (more…)

Act against climate change and do your bit for the protection of the rainforests by pledging your support to the Prince’s Rainforests Project.

In the 80s it was the preservation of historic buildings, in the 90s it was organic food, and in the noughties Prince Charles is joining the fight against climate change.

He’s certainly taken some stick and plenty of criticism over the years, but we are in total admiration of his outspoken and proactive stand against the destruction of the rainforests and its resulting climate change, and that’s why he and his project is what we’re talking about this week. (more…)
