Should online affairs be classed as infidelity or are they less serious than a physical affair?
Would you count an online affair as infidelity?
On Monday this week (10/8/09) the Metro published the results of its latest Metro-Harris poll on sex, relationships and infidelity. It seems that when it comes to infidelity the over 55s are far more forgiving than the younger generation.
According to the survey, 49% of 16-24-year-olds see online infidelity in the same way as they would an actual physical affair, compared to less than a third of over 55s.
The younger age group also has stricter parameters on what constitutes an affair. 63% of them believe that you do not have to have sex to be unfaithful, compared to just 38% of those over 55. (more…)
