Naked Body Sushi

Naked-Body-SushiWe’re talking about an unusual dining experience that’s hitting London until March 2010, and that’s sushi served on naked women.

Ok, it’s not really date material unless you can blow a cool £250 per person on the meal, but it’s certainly got us talking here at JustSingles.com.

Flash Sushi is the first authentic Nyotaimori dining experience to be available in London.  Nyotaimori roughly translates as ‘female body presentation’ and it’s the traditional Japanese art of eating sushi off a naked female body.

For centuries this rare and shadowy practice has been the sole preserve of Japan’s very elite, but recently, celebrities such as Tom Cruise, George Clooney, Pierce Brosnan, Julianne Moore and Harrison Ford have all enjoyed a seat at the Nyotaimori table.

To ensure absolute privacy and exclusivity, the experience takes on a clandestine quality as diners arrive at various locations for the meal, ranging from a grand central London mansion to an unoccupied warehouse space. Here they join 12-24 other gastro thrill-seekers for a champagne reception before taking their seats around the single dining table adorned with the stunning Hadaka (naked) models.

Here begins the exquisite ten-course seasonal Omakase style sushi dinner created by chef Saito who has 20 years experience creating meals that fully demonstrate the depth and precision of Japanese culinary artistry.  To witness the skilled knife work and mastery of technique of a real Sushi Shokunin (sushi master chef) is another captivating layer to this incredible experience.

Certain rules apply and these include no photography, no mobile phones at the table, no talking to the model and of course, charming, polite and respectful dinner behaviour.  We just hope the diners are good with their chopsticks, otherwise an inadvertent tickle could cause the sushi to literally roll!  (Yes, we have the typical British slapstick  scene in our minds – and there’s no pun intended there either!)

If you want a seat at this unusual table, you must register your interest on the Flash Sushi website – www.flash-sushi.com.  You will then be informed of the next Flash Sushi dinner via email, disclosing the time, location and a code of conduct for the sitting.  Just don’t forget to tell us all about it!
